David Elkins is a director of photography, still photographer and editor based in the San Francisco Bay Area. He works with many top corporate, broadcast and editorial clients and is comfortable working in many capacities from "one man band," to multi-camera productions. In addition, David is an accomplished storyteller having produced and directed several short documentaries that have screened at numerous festivals around the country.

David developed a keen sense of composition and light from his years as a newspaper and freelance photojournalist, which is evident in his video and documentary film work today. He transitioned to the moving image while working on his Master’s in Journalism at the University of Texas at Austin and feels equally at home working in both mediums.
