David Elkins is a highly creative and experienced director of photography and editor based in the San Francisco Bay Area. He works with many top corporate, broadcast and editorial clients and has cinematography credits on several feature documentary films and narrative shorts. In addition, David is an accomplished storyteller having produced and directed several short documentaries that have screened at numerous festivals around the United States.

David developed a keen sense of composition and lighting from his years as a newspaper and freelance photojournalist which is evident in his video and film work today. He transitioned to the moving image while studying for his Master’s in Journalism at the University of Texas at Austin and feels equally at home working in both mediums.
