This work spans over 20 years documenting many facets of wildfire across the Western United States. During that time, fires have grown larger and more intense, but boots on the ground and aircraft in the skies have remained a constant. However, the story doesn’t end at the fire line. From investigating causes and loading air tankers, to prescribed burns, first rains, and the regrowth that follows, David has documented the full arc of this recurring environmental and societal issue.
